Gigography - Zoey's Cafe, Ventura, April 2nd, 2009

Every once and awhile you end up playing a venue that is actually an honor to play, rather than just an obligation. In our case, it's only really happened a handful of times with The Hotel Cafe, the Troubadour, and now Zoey's Cafe in Ventura. Not that there's anything wrong with most of the other places we play, these places just seem to go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and Zoey's truly goes the extra mile, which made for a very relaxed show. Far From Kansas was the first band up, and like us, performed acoustic, and minus a number of members. But JD Levin and Claire Winters couldn't have brought a nicer crowd, or been any cooler, so it was a blast to play with them.

Our set is below, suffice to say, it went well enough we even played an encore-- though I believe it was only JD who was calling for one, but we obliged with honor.

She Will Have Her Way
It Would Be Funny
Everything and Nothing
Torquemada
Summers Gone
One More Chance
I Do
When I Fall (Barenaked Ladies)
The Rapture
On the Sideline
Don't Dream It's Over (Crowded House)

encore:
Sir Duke (Stevie Wonder)
